Hafiy:
- Continue breastfeeding. Yay! Actually he never stop. He was supplemented with FM for 1 and a half month, but he still hung on Mommy’s B…
- Getting cheekier. He likes to sengih-sengih like kerang busuk especially when Uncle Ady & Cik Da are here.
- He’ll hand us our handphone with a sign “Take my picture, please”. And he’ll look at the picture of him with a face of “Hensem jugak saya ni!”.
- He’ll hand me the Astro remote control with a message “Mommy please change to Playhouse Disney Channel”.
- Now wakes up earlier than Mommy but doesn’t cry-cry anymore. Instead he’ll go to the kitchen to find Bibik.
- Gets triggered by the sound of lesung. It’s one of his favourite activities.
- Like to eat in Mommy’s plate even if he has his own plate.
- If he wants to be nursed, he’ll pull Mommy’s shirt, says “Em!” and points to the mattress. Actually this is the fruit from Mommy’s practice recently (after gave birth to Fahry) – nursing while laying down. A would say “Hafiy nak em? Kalo nak em, bam(baring) dulu” while pointing to the mattress. Now he gets it… if you want milk, it should be on the mattress. Huhu.
- He likes to be capped. He never be like this before, in fact he hated if we put anything on his head. Since my little brother, Uzair who is called Pak Su by Hafiy and Fahry came and he wore cap, Hafiy likes cap. Now he goes out with cap on his head!
- He’s now wearing cloth diapers!
Fahry:
- Even if his weigh is 1.62kg (as per 2nd Jan), he’s still in the incubator. The nurses said, it’s to protect him from infection. Normal baby would go out of the incubator to the baby cot after their weights reach 1.5-1.6kg.
- He has Abiy’s forehead.
- Sometimes he’s in ‘fully awake’ and his eyes are so beautiful.
- Even if he’s sleepy, he tries to open his eyes for Mommy.
- We massage, talk and sing to him everytime we visit him.
- He likes to turn his head to the right and we try to turn in to another side but he’ll change it himself even if we ‘build’ a wall of napkin on the right side. Urghh.
- He’s so handsome. We thought he’s more good looking than Hafiy. kah kah kah.
Alhamdulillah. My kids, even if they maybe not as advance as other kids at their age, but they are so special. I never see any flaw in them, even if Hafiy is yet to talk, Fahry is yet to discharge… Because as far as I know, I never discouraging them. I talk to Hafiy everyday as if he is a teenager and I never use baby talk (except when I’m teasing him :P).
I’m not worry about my kids’ development cos I believe that they have their own pace. What important is, I should provide them lots of opportunities to develop themselves. I might fail to do it in 2008 but this very year, I’ll try my best to help my kids discover their potential, since I’ll apply for unpaid leave for several months (Actually the leave is to put my full attention on Fahry).
When I was kid, my parents never put high expectation on me or stressed me to achieve this and that target, but they always show me the way, encourage me to excel. And I was.. somewhat excellent in my studies… at least I get my Degree laaa. From it I think I can get control over my life, especially my feeling and reaction when facing something unexpected.

This new year, I had my paradigm shifted π Mother of two should not be a slacker anymore. I mean, my blog π it should be something beneficial rather than writing merapu-rapu things and stealing the precious time of my friends, reading my merapu-rapu… Phew~ leaving old habits is sooo exhausting.
