I am thinking of sending Hafiy to kindergarten or nursery while Bibik is going home next month. We have Taman Pendidikan Adna, just selang 2-3 rumah from ours, Q-Dees at the other side of the road, Smart Reader Kids near the main road and many many other kindergartens and nurseries.
It is not that I’m not capable to take care of them alone, but I think Hafiy needs some exposure on how to socialize the right way with kids at his age. He’s get together well with kids older than him and he becomes a bit ‘tigerish’ since then. We were at our Abiy’s kampung last weekend. Abiy has a troop of cousins who ‘kalaurumahtakpecahtaksah’. At first, we were worried about Hafiy, if he’d be bullied by those ‘uncles’. “Habislah Hafiy nanti..”
But surprisingly things turned upside down. Hafiy yang mula membuli pakcik-pakciknya. “Kakak, Hafiy tolak Haris”, “Kakak, Hafiy sepak Ikram”. Uh uh… very well son. I never imagined my son did that!
Until our uncle (Abiy’s uncle) pun terkejut. First-first he asked “How Hafiy? Tak menangis ke?” Ahaks, then I told him “Oi jangan… diorang ni kalah dengan Hafiy” Wow wow… memang ajaib.
I dunno where he ‘learnt’ to ‘bully’ people.Or maybe cos he used to get along with those kids yang suka main ultraman-ultraman. I never watch nor let him watch TV shows yang ganas-ganas. Everyday at least watching Dibo The Gift Dragon, Barney and Air Crash Investigation je.
For the sake of bringing him out to bookstore and other places, I really think that he needs this exposure. To mingle around with the neighbors.. kirim salam. Eh, didn’t I tell you that our nearest neighbor is a nasyid artist, someone from In-Team… what’s his name ah? The specky one.. Hazami? Hazimin? Hazamin? Sapa2 pemnat dia bole la datang rumah I, nanti leh buat2 tersalah rumah. Ahaks.
Abiy said if I want to send our kids to kindy, never send to academic oriented one because he wants them to learn in holistic ways. But Montessori kindy is not available here, I think the nearest is at TTDI, Tadika Diyana. But they are not accepting a 1 1/2 year.
I found one at Damansara Jaya, Montessori House of Little Capers but they also accepting 2 years above. And the 2 year old class is Playschool. And they have DayCare too. Suitable la if I go back to work later.
Genius Aulad pun dekat. We have one at Kota Damansara and another one at Bandar Sri Damansara. Talking about Islamic Kindergarten, I’m eyeing jugak on Islamic Montessori.. Nuh’s Ark Islamic Montessori kat Shah Alam jauh sangat. Another Montessori yang ajar mengaji is at Damansara Utama. Akademi Al fan is jauh kat Bandar Kinrara. Other Islamic Montessori kat area-area KL belah-belah East sana. Wah wah wah mengira tadika pulak.
Actually I wasn’t thinking about sending anyone of them to kindy. First because Hafiy is still young, and second I want them to be ‘schooling’ at home. But up to this point I think I have to do something. Or else I’ll rasa tak sedap hati everytime bringing Hafiy out cos he’s so over excited satu, and lately he shows ciri-ciri ‘tiger’. So.. I dont have any idea about kindy, and its importance except my want la. Hahahaha.
Kami 5 beradik, 3 of us went to Taski while the other 2 to Tadika Kemas. The Taski products did very well, even all of us khatam al-Quran at age 7 (even if orang lain lagi awal but standard my kampung tu dah OK ler) and got very very good grades along our journey in Primary School. But the other 2.. hmm… until Standard 6 still baca Muqaddam and my youngest brother now Standard 4, last year still could not recognize huruf hijaiyah. Woe oo woe…
Is the early education centre influence our performance? Where others send their kids? Maybe someone want to share their experience about kindy or not sending to kindy… Anyone?
Actually I don’t mind about other aspect, so far my concern is about his ‘socialization intelligence’ je. Lagipun just for temporary sementara Bibik balik kampung je. Bole Mami lepak-lepak dengan Fahry.
