Ceh, tajuk macam meminta simpati je LOL.
Reading Jiey Min’s blog about this, recalling my conversation with Kak Tina’s sister, Kak Lina, last month about OKU registration. But I didn’t pay attention cos that time Fahry was still admitted, and our concern was to see him discharged healthily.
When Fahry is home, we see him just like a normal baby. Just like Hafiy, just like other babies outside there. We don’t see any difference in him. Dahla tembam! Sampai lupa yang dia takde kaki. Oh he is so healthy sampai lupa yang dia pernah tinggal dalam inkubator, pernah berwayar segala.
Now after reading Jiey Min’s entry, baru teringat that I have a baby with disability. Dah tak bole nak cakap lain cos he’s a really disable child.
From JKM Website :
Kurang Upaya Fizikal – Kecacatan anggota badan misalnya – Penyakit Polio, Kudung, Muscular Dystrophy, Myopathy, Neuropathy, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, kerdil dll.
So, Fahry memang kurang upaya, isn’t he? We planned to bring him to therapy center when we’re back to KL nanti. Lots of things we have to learn cos he’s a very special one. Sekarang pun if we put him on tummy, seems like it makes him hurt sebab tulang kering dia mula terbonjol sedikit. (Child bones grows faster than their flesh kan)
We ols pun tak tau how to teach him to utilise the usage of his hands cos his fingers are different than us. To teach him merangkak later pun we’re no’t sure. Apa lagi nak ajar dia berlajan, even if with kaki palsu. So we really need a good therapy center.
Tapi, like Jiey Min, I am not sure whether we should register Fahry for OKU or not. Patut la kan? Dia memang OKU pun. Tapi… alah takde tapi-tapinya, memang permanent disability dah tu. Walaupun kat rumah dapat layanan sama rata tapi kakimu takkan tumbuh kembali, nak.
Apa ciri-ciri to register for OKU? Asal disable je bole register or ada supporting element like household income under $10,000 ke (eh, memang under $10,000 pun), mother not working ke (eh, memang SAHM pun). 😛 What’s the benefits if we register and what’s the disadvantage if we don’t? Oh sungguh I do not know.
Kak Lina said, we have to get a letter from his Paed if we wanna register. But his Paed didn’t say anything. Should we ask ke or how? Kang dia cakap “No need la, your baby is OK”. Malas tau!
What say you?
(Kot ada sesiapa yang kerja JKM bole register terus kalau kena :D)
Let me meditate first. Zzzziiiinnnggg~~~~~~
