You are working on a new entry in your blog, about 90% is done. And when you’re finish and want to publish it, suddenly the connection lost and your weblog autosave only manages to catch 50% of it.
Stress, ain’t it?
A way to avoid this is to blog from your desktop using blog desktop editor.
There are lots of software that make you manage to blog from your desktop, meaning that you don’t have to connect to the internet to blog, except when you want to publish.
Among them are:
-
Windows Live Writer
If you blog with Blogger, you can blog from Ms Word 2007 with this Blogger for Word.
I am using Windows Live Writer (WLW). That’s why I often post new entry but seldom reply messages cos I’m not always online. I give this software 2 thumbs up cos it is easy to install and set up. I tried to install and setup some of the blog editor listed above, but I stuck somewhere in the middle of setting up coz they asked for many things that I have to check first (haha, lazy~~. oh, not that lazy, have no time to check2).
WLW gives to the almost complete features for blog writers. You can write your entry with the view of your true weblog look. The font, the color, the picture, the background, etc. If you write your entry using weblog editor, you only can see the editor box, and you have to click on Preview to check your entry, how its look like. With WLW you don’t have to, because it is like this:
See the font, the font size, the font color, the title, the picture, the background, etc are same as how your blog look like. And I just press Print Screen button and Ctrl+v to make it pasted in this page. You definitely can’t do this using weblog, where you have to upload the picture and wait for some minutes or hours before it is appear in your editor, or not uploaded at all, depending on your internet connection speed 😀
Plus, you can insert table, video and map using WLW. It’s very easy.
Blogging from desktop makes my life easier, especially during time like this.. I don’t know what is happening to Streamyx. Like now you see it, now no you don’t.
All the editor listed above are free. You just click to go to the homepage, download and install in your PC 😀
And yes, you can manage multiple blogs from a single point only. And it will save your time a lot.
Any of you using blog desktop editor? Mind to share your view? …..(I knew Jua is one of them, Jua please share your expertise).
