I tot Taylor was a college yang ajar jahit menjahit (read:TAILOR). Uncle Muhd had been selected to do his A Level atTaylor’s under sponsorship by bank negara. I bet that Bank Negara doesnt sponsor many students, only 20 students are selected from SPM Trial result and 5 students from the real SPM result.
This morning Abiy send him to the college for registration. We were sent to KL (Mommy work, kids nursery) by Aunty Fatin. Macam biasa jalan jem kat U turn Jalan Semarak. Almost an hour kat situ je.
Uncle Muhd was offered to do SAM (South Australia Matriculation) instead of A-Level. Tapi takut pulak kena study kat Aussie coz daripada our research, Accountancy kat Aussie tak sama macam UK, and here we use UK standard. So we asked him to plead for A-Level. Tapi sebenarnya dia memang dapat A-Level. The SAM was unforeseen circumstances, bole tak. Hehe.
Bank Negara punya scholarship lain sikit. Very2 strict. Guarantor pun mesti the closest family, preferably parents. Tapi kena 45 tahun and below.
First impression, Bank Negara punya education unit memang superb. They dah ada forecast for these students’ career path. Tak boleh lari from working with them.
I’m thinking of one day when our children grow up. Sekarang pun competition sangat ketat. Those yang offered by Bank Negara are the 10As students, and so some other bodies yang offer scholarship. Nanti budak2 makin pandai, if SPM still using the same system for the next 15 years, maybe more straigt As students produced. Sekarang pun umur 2 tahun dah belajar macam2, playschool whatnot.
3 thoughts
1. Would my children get straigth As?
2. Even if they get, would they be eligible for scholarship?
3. Adakah masih badan2 ni memberi biasiswa?
Luckily kami dah buka SSPN for them.
