A Day at Prince Court’s Pediatric Ward. Luckily We Don’t Have to Bear The Cost.

It was 1.00 a.m. when I gave Hafiy his paracetamol syrup dosage prescribed by Doctor Lai. His body temperature was 40.5 degree celcius then. I sponged his body as well. At 2 o’clock he woke me up and his body heat was still there. I woke Abiy and thought we had to bring him to the hospital as the PCM seemed does not give any effect.

So we rushed to Prince Court. It was about 30 minutes later, and after his body temperature was taken, 38.3 degree celsius, he was brought to the waiting room in the Emergency and Accident Unit. The doctor on duty told us that he needs to take Hafiy’s blood sample as his temperature wasn’t turn down even after the PCM dose and sponging.

It was horrible. Hafiy was so agressive until 5 adults including Abiy and I had to hold him. After everything done, the doctor said “This boy is very strong. Sampai lenguh tangan I” and from the nurse “Boy ni kuat lah. Tak penah ada kes boy macam ni”. Huhuhaha… sungguh tiada kata2 yang keluar dari kami. Maklumlah dah pukul 3 pagi. Then had to wait for the blood test result, whether Hafiy had to be admitted or free to go back home. They also gave Hafiy ubat bontot water based, so that he won’t get over dosage of paracetamol sebab baru je bagi PCM syrup at 1 a.m.

After almost an hour, the nurse came informing that Hafiy had to be admitted, because his blood test result showed infection, indicated from his white blood cell. Huhu. However, his body tempature dah back to normal. So after he was brought to the Pediatric Ward at level 6, Room 03, Abiy went back home to take our belongings. Not to forget little Fahry who was happily asleep even after been brought to the ward. Macam dia pulak yang sakit.

This is what I like about private hospital, kami boleh berkampung dengan gumbira. Bukan nak menyombong, even kalo bukan sponsored entahkan kami pun tak mampu nak datang tempat cenggini. My experience masa Fahry was admit kat GH MYY dulu, oh sangat menyeksa batinku especially bila boobies bengkak and Hafiy wasn’t there, plus tak cukup botol susu dah nak isi. Here we had a bed, a baby cot and a convertible sofa. So semua orang boleh tidur dengan aman. And the nurses are very friendly. Tak ada la yang ‘nnyekik’ -> ini dialek Kelantan. Nnyekik adalah perbuatan yang bila seseorang melakukan perkara itu pada kita, kita rasa nak ketuk kepala dia sampai bersepai menjadi keping2 snowflakes. Ganas tak? Hehe.

That morning (coz dah dekat jam 5 pagi) I slept with Hafiy on the bed. He was very well behaved then. Tak ada nak cabut-cabut wayar IV kat tangan.

Dr Padma came at about 9 a.m. Suprisingly Hafiy was very active. Fahry pulak yang Dr. Padma detect ada pucat sikit & she prescribed him with ferum and multivitamin drop. Yang Si Hafiynya dah tak macam orang demam. Sampai IV nya backflow sebab tak duk diam.

Dr. Padma then stopped the drip to allow him keluar jalan2. She asked us to bring him to the play room, bawak jalan2 and see how. If after 12 hours (from the time ubat bontot was given), he caught the fever back, then she had to do something lah. If not, then bole balik! So memang ronda satu hospital, siap lepak kat Coffee Bean lagi.

Kalau balik ke bilik wad, memang takleh nak tolong lah. Berlari je kejenya. Semua butang nak picit. Sampai terpicit butang panggil nurse. Butang adjust katil toksah cakaplah. Benda yang salurkan ubat dalam vein dia pun dia pi usik2.

Alhamdulillah, after 18 hours monitoring, Hafiy was OK and discharged. Diorang memang, kalau demam panas, bawa jumpa Doctor Padma terus OK. Like Fahry last month, jumpa Doktor Padma, tak sempat makan ubat terus sihat padahal before tu suhu badannya tinggi, siap selsema bagai.

Prince Court, as it is, a real MediHotel. Dalam almari ada robe mandi lagi. KLCC view lagi tu. But we are only entitle for deluxe room je, suite tak dapek la. The cost was about RM615++. Maybe becos takde apa sangat, charge for room about RM200 per night. Lain2, consultation, lab, medication, etc. Thank you, the company

Even if admitting is somthing not nice but we enjoyed it :P It was like a family vacation to a medi-hotel, LOL.

Thanks to the advancement in our technology in medical. And to the stability of our country and nation, so we could enjoy such facilities. I remember watching a clip from a hospital in Sudan. Even they didn’t have a complete pair of gloves (both right hands?) and the tools are not sterile. Here we don’t have to worry about such,
